Fujin Fm
Type Locality and Naming
Songliao Basin. The type section is the well ZK16 section at the Erlongshan County in Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province. It was named by the Redaction Group of Strata Table of Heilongjiang Province in 1979 and was surveyed by a geological team of the Third Region of Heilongjiang Province in 1974.
Synonyms: It is synonymous with Huanan Fm.
Lithology and Thickness
It is characterized by the greyish-green, greyish-yellow, and grey sandy conglomerates, fine sandstones, siltstones, mudstones, and brown coals. The thickness is 332 m in the type section and various from 21 m to 465 m in the district.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
The Fujin Fm is in faulted contact with the underlying Baoquanling Fm.
Upper contact
The Fujin Fm is in faulted contact with the overlying Chuandishan Fm.
Regional extent
The formation is distributed in the Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province.
